Construite une première fois au XI ème siècle, elle a été restaurée et réaménagée à plusieurs reprises. En 1913, sous le règne du Sultan Alaouite Moulay Hafid, cette porte a été décorée en céramique émaillée, bleue d'un côté et verte de l'autre. La face verte de la porte donne sur une esplanade récemment réaménagée où ont lieu les concerts gratuits de musique du « Festival dans la ville ».

Built the first time in the nineteenth century, it was restored and refurbished several times. In 1913, during the reign of Sultan Moulay Hafid Alaoui, this gate was decorated glazed ceramic, blue on one side and green on the other. The green side of the door overlooks a recently renovated plaza which hosts free music concerts of the "Festival in the city."
